Peter is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^® professional and the lead Advisor of Freeman Group Private Wealth Management. He joined IG Wealth Management in 1999 after a successful ten year career in management with a major Canadian grocery retailer. For nearly three decades, he has assisted hundreds of individuals as they transition from work through the three stages of retirement.

Peter and his family are committed to giving back; most notably in 2017, with a 65 acre waterfront land donation made to the Nova Scotia Nature Trust. Peter is actively involved as a sponsor of many junior curling events at the Mayflower and Halifax Curling Clubs

Aaron attained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^® designation in 2000 and has been licensed to provide investment advice since 1991. He joined IG Wealth Management in 2008 after succeeding in a variety of roles over a 19 year career with three of Canada's largest banks. Aaron and Peter merged practices at the end of 2018 to provide a more specialized team approach to financial advice delivery.

Aaron's primary role is to present clients with in-depth strategy planning and complex insurance needs.

Community involvement is a top priority for Aaron. He is the past chair of the NB/NS ALS Society, a mentor for the entrepreneurship class at Dalhousie University and a sponsor of baseball teams in the Colby Village Gentlemen's Softball League.

Thelma joined Peter's practice in 2015. She is the main point of contact for appointment scheduling and organizing special events. She also adds a special layer of client support and backup for the rest of the team.

Thelma also manages our Liverpool office and charitable community hub used by Queen's transit and other local charity groups.

With more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, Christina brings a strong foundation of client service excellence, operational leadership, and regulatory compliance to the Freeman Group. As Business Development Coordinator, she plays a key role in ensuring the team operates with efficiency, accuracy, and a deep commitment to the high standards clients expect from IG Private Wealth Management. 

Christina’s career has been built on a genuine dedication to helping clients feel supported, informed, and confident. Her extensive background in compliance and client service allows her to streamline processes, enhance the client experience, and support advisors in delivering personalized, high-quality financial planning. 

Outside of her professional work, Christina is a competitive curler and a member of one of the top ranked women’s teams in Canada. She brings the same drive, strategy, and commitment to excellence that she demonstrates on the ice to her role with the Freeman Group.

Jed joins the Freeman Group as our new Marketing Assistant while beginning his Bachelor of Commerce degree at Saint Mary’s University. With a clear intention to build his future in financial services with IG, Jed brings enthusiasm, discipline, and a strong desire to grow within the industry. Outside of the office, Jed is an accomplished competitive curler. As part of Team Atherton, one of Canada’s top junior teams, he is the 2025 U18 Canadian Champion and current Nova Scotia U20 Provincial Champion. Balancing academics, athletics, and his role at Freeman Group, Jed brings determination, teamwork, and a strong work ethic to everything he does. We are excited to have him on the team as he begins his professional journey.
